History
Our great grandfather, Abdul-Rahman Sidani, started and founded the family business in 1907 at the Beirut port prior to the war that occurred in Lebanon. Abdul Rahman established himself as one of the market leaders in the import/export business through developing distribution channels between the port of Beirut and different regions in Lebanon. His reputation went beyond the normal business operations, during his time he served as judge between and among traders whenever business conflicts arise. Abdul-Rahman’s authority was based upon respect and his decisions were enforced and accepted by all parties involved in the conflict.
Abdul-Rahman’s eldest son Ahmad Badawi Sidani joined the business and together they opened a large store and warehouse in Down Town Beirut in 1953. They operated across Lebanon and they were known among all traders. For more than three generations, the Sidani family has been in the business and we aim to continue on the path of our forefathers and carry on with our heritage of Trading and Distribution.

Grams and Tons is a specialized wholesale Import/Export company that deals with all types of seeds, pulses and grains. For 100 years, Grams and Tons with it the Sidani Family business established a name in the Lebanese market. We are dedicated and consistent in providing customers with exceptional quality grains at the best prices, thus becoming one of the renowned importers and suppliers of seeds and pulses.
Our goal is to become a leader in importing, exporting and marketing premium quality specialty foods under our brands and to achieve high performance level that would exceed the expectations of our customers. We strive to foster growth and a culture filled with integrity and respect in everything we do. We work hard to build our reputation of high standards through employing the best principles in every engagement.
Our network goes beyond the Lebanese market. Our main clients are retailers who provide high quality products to consumers. We also have close relations to our worldwide partners in different parts of the world such as the United States, Canada, Egypt, Australia, Mexico, China, India, Brazil, Argentina, Spain and England.
We are one of the largest importers and distributors in Lebanon and we are always looking to expand our product portfolio and list of partners in order to provide high quality food products for consumers. Our mission is to grow as a business while helping our community and people sustain their well-being through importing only high quality and healthy food products. Our services also extend to NGOs and governmental organizations in terms of providing assistance using our large network to obtain all types of processed goods, canned products and other food essentials for packaging and charitable giving.
Grams and Tons is also a board member in the Syndicate of Agri-food Traders in Lebanon, represented by Ahmad Sidani, Managing Director and Business Partner of Grams and Tons.
